UNIVERSAL MUSIC NEW ZEALAND

Lady Gaga returns to New Zealand in March 2010 for a much-demanded headline tour. The New Zealand tour will feature a spectacular new arena production and full band, and follows her high- octane performance with The Pussycat Dolls in Auckland earlier this year, 2009 has been hailed the Year of Gaga as the enigmatic superstar breaks records and tops charts around the globe. During August she was one of the stars at both Japan’s Summersonic Festival and the UK’s V Festivals and on November 27 Lady Gaga kicks off her North American and European “Monster Ball” tour before heading our way. Debut album The Fame reached the top ten in over 20 countries worldwide, with New Zealand being amongst the first to embrace the divinely intriguing Lady Gaga who has clocked up double platinum sales and four top ten singles on the official New Zealand chart. Lady Gaga’s debut boasts massive hits including ‘Just Dance’, ‘Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)’, ‘Paparazzi’, ‘Love Game’, and the NZ #1 smash ‘Poker Face’. While Lady Gaga sets the charts alight, it’s on stage where her story truly comes to life. A shifting artscape of the past, present and future, a live performance by Lady Gaga leaves you wondering how music survived without her. Lady Gaga floored those in attendance during her recent New Zealand performance: The New Zealand Herald reviewer Joanna Hunkin said, "Although she was the support act of the night, Stefani Germanotta - Lady Gaga - outsang, outshone and out- sexed the Dolls, in half the time and half the space." With the announcement of Lady Gaga’s first headline New Zealand tour comes a freshly repackaged version of her huge debut album, called The Fame Monster. Featuring the original tracks from The Fame along with 8 brand new tracks, including the current top 10 hit ‘Bad Romance’, the arrival of The Fame Monster on Monday 23rd November is further evidence that there’s just no stopping Lady Gaga.
